Less than two weeks after Scott Dixon’s exhilarating win at the 2008 Indianapolis 500, it is fitting to recall another competitor in this same race in late May, eight decades earlier. 85 years ago, this Miller 122 Supercharged owned by Cliff Durant tore up the track at the Indy 500, placing fourth in the 1923 race. This stunning masterpiece was eventually acquired by Joe MacPherson and is one of the highlights in an already-breathtaking collection.
