  • Recently serviced and ready for the road

In the early 2000s, as the concept of a street-legal, track day-ready sports car began to take hold in the marketplace, Ferrari decided to try its hand at this new segment. Ideally placed for success in this market as Ferrari’s challenge cars were highly similar in execution, the Challenge Stradale was introduced in 2003 as a limited production model, and its success was nearly instantaneous.

Based upon the 360 Modena, the Challenge Stradale saw a vast number of changes to increase performance and driving excitement. One hundred and ten kilograms of weight were shed through the prolific use of aluminium and carbon fibre. The interior was completely stripped of creature comforts, even carpeting, in an effort to increase performance. Total output was raised to 425 brake horsepower, and the car’s paddle-shift transmission shift-times were improved through new software. The Challenge Stradale utilized carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, drastically improving both handling and braking performance by eliminating brake fade and shedding 16 kilograms of weight.

Finished in rare Giallo Modena paintwork and fitted with matching yellow brake callipers, this particular Challenge Stradale was delivered new to Germany. It was later sold to the Czech Republic before travelling back to Germany, and it now currently resides in France. At some point in its early life, the car received an aftermarket Challenge Stradale-style centre stripe, a desirable option on many Challenge Stradales that helps the car to stand out even more. It currently has 28,000 kilometres on its odometer and was last serviced by Charles Pozzi in April of 2016 at 27,863 kilometres, invoices for which are on file.

Considered to be one of the greatest Ferraris of the 2000s, the Challenge Stradale offers instantly discernable improvements in driving dynamics over the standard 360 Modena. This particular example remains in wonderful condition and would make for an exciting driver, either on the road or on the track.

Empattement 2 600 mm.

• Rare teinte "Giallo Modena"
• 28 000 km d'origine
